Ettie is a qualified Chartered Accountant, who spent the first ten years of her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she gained extensive knowledge and experience of all financial, audit, tax and accounting processes, as well as solid skills in financial management and all audit requirements. As an auditor, the basis of Ettie’s work were all the elements of Corporate Governance (including full financial, IT and HR functions in line with the King Code), the Companies Act, and other statutory and regulatory frameworks.
She strongly believes in the Richard Branson motto: “Train your employees so they can leave. Treat them well enough so they don’t want to.”
Ettie, has a B Com in Accounting, a B Com Honours in Management Accounting, and a B Accounting Honours Certificate. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant who completed her articles at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in 2006. She has also done an International course on Trade Unionism and Social Policy with, Memur-Sen Confederation in Turkey.
After completing her articles, Ettie, became Senior Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers at their branch in London. She then moved back to South Africa and became Audit Senior Manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Gauteng. Her journey in the Motor Industry began as Fund Administration Manager at the Motor Industry Staff Association (MISA), she then moved to the Motor Industry Retirement Funds (MIRF) as COO and CFO and is currently the CEO at MIFA.
Nicole joined the MIFA Team in July 2019 and having spent four years at Alexander Forbes both in Quality Assurance and as a Training Facilitator, which is where her love for the retirement fund industry started.
Great customer service is at the top of her list of priorities in administration, hence her desire to daily live by the MIFA Values and DELIVER…..

She has completed and is competent in Facilitation and Coaching. As Service Provider Supervisor, she managed a team of 7 who were responsible for the forensic investigation and tracing involved in Road Accident Fund claims during her time at Ernst and Young.
She passed an Effective Stakeholder Management course at the University of Pretoria which assist in better engaging with Sponsors and key Stakeholders during her time at Titans Cricket.
